Gašper Jereb (1985*)

I started my musical journey at the Kranj School of Music by learning accordion, piano, organ and solo singing. In 2008, I graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Music in the department of composition and music theory (mentor prof. Marko Mihevc), and in 2016 in the department of keyboard instruments, majoring in organ, under the mentorship of prof. Renata Bauer. I fulfill my pedagogic mission at the Kranj School of Music as a piano teacher, music theory teacher and as an accompanist for instruments, solo singing and ballet.

Already during my studies, I actively started participating in the projects of the most famous Slovenian musicians, such as Anja Bukovec and Janez Lotrič, with various choirs (APZ Tone Tomšič, Vocal Academy Ljubljana, Slovenian Chamber Choir), with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and renowned Slovenian and foreign conductors.

As a composer, vocal-instrumental music is very close to me, and my works are performed both on domestic and foreign concert stages, and I have already received several notable awards for my work at composition competitions. Recently, as an accompanist, I've also been getting to know ballet music better, so I'm looking forward to new projects in this area as well.
