GAŠPER JEREB

began his musical journey at the Kranj School of Music by learning accordion, piano, organ and solo singing. In 2008, he graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the Department of Composition and Music Theory under the mentorship of Prof. Marko Mihevc, and in 2016 with a summa cum laude diploma at the Department of Keyboard Instruments - majoring in organ, under the mentorship of prof. Renata Bauer. He currently fulfils his teaching mission at the Kranj School of Music as a piano teacher, music theorist and accompanist for instruments, solo singing and ballet.

Already during his studies, he established collaborations with many renowned Slovenian musicians, such as Anja Bukovec, Janez Lotrič, Marjan Grdadolnik, Mojca Bitenc, Domen Križaj, Marta Močnik Pirc, Tina Žerdin, Nina Kompare, Jure Gradišnik, Ernestina Jošt and others. He has collaborated with several Slovenian choirs (Carmen Manet, APZ Tone Tomšič, KPZ Mysterium, Vocal Academy Ljubljana, Slovenian Chamber Choir, APZ France Prešeren, Šaleški Academic Choir, Grudnove Šmikle, Girls' Choir of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, etc.) and orchestras, among them with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and the Cantabile Symphony Orchestra and the percussion project STOP. His work as an accompanist includes collaboration with ballet artists and instrumentalists and with renowned conductors at home and abroad.

As a composer, he mainly devotes himself to vocal-instrumental music, and his works are performed both on domestic and foreign concert stages. He has already received several prominent awards at composition competitions for his creative work. Recently, he has been intensively devoting himself to ballet music and is enthusiastically looking forward to new projects in this field.
