GAŠPER JEREB

is a Slovenian composer, organist, pianist, accompanist and music educator.

He began his musical education at the Kranj School of Music, studying accordion, piano, organ, and solo singing. In 2008, he graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana with a degree in Composition and Music Theory under the mentorship of Prof. Marko Mihevc. In 2016, he completed his organ studies at the same institution with a summa cum laude diploma under Prof. Renata Bauer.

He currently teaches at the Kranj School of Music, where he works as a piano teacher, music theorist, and accompanist for instrumentalists, solo singers, and ballet.

During his studies and professional career, he has collaborated with numerous prominent Slovenian musicians, including Anja Bukovec, Janez Lotrič, Marjan Grdadolnik, Mojca Bitenc, Domen Križaj, Marta Močnik Pirc, Tina Žerdin, Nina Kompare, Jure Gradišnik, Ernestina Jošt, and others. His work also includes collaborations with leading Slovenian choirs such as Carmen Manet, APZ Tone Tomšič, KPZ Mysterium, Vocal Academy Ljubljana, the Slovenian Chamber Choir, APZ France Prešeren, the Šaleški Academic Choir, Grudnove Šmikle, and the Girls’ Choir of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, as well as with orchestras including the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Cantabile Symphony Orchestra, and the percussion project STOP.

As a composer, he focuses primarily on vocal and vocal-instrumental music. His works are regularly performed in Slovenia and abroad, and he has received several awards at national and international composition competitions. In recent years, he has increasingly devoted his creative work to ballet music and continues to develop new projects in this field.
